Interviewed by the notebooks of La Gazzetta dello Sport, former Milan player and coach of the Italian national team Arrigo Sarri discussed the Serie A coaching situation, focusing particularly on the future of important coaches such as Antonio Conte, Roberto Mancini, Massimiliano Allegri, and Stefano Pioli, some of whom are also linked with the Rossoneri for the upcoming season.
In the next season, Allegri could return to the scene, and he is liked by Milan.
"The Milan management must, first of all, clarify things at the club level. Then, if they decide to bring Allegri in, they must support him always and in any case. You know that I prefer a different style of football than the one Max practices, but I respect him a lot for what he has won and for the work he does. He fits perfectly in the tradition of Italian football."
Pioli, who has "isolated himself" in Arabia, seems to be liked by Juventus. What do you think of this solution?
"Pioli did a masterpiece winning the league with Milan. He didn’t have the strongest team but still came in first. He made himself loved by the players and showed modern football. I don’t know how he could fare at Juventus, considering that after Thiago Motta’s failure, they have to reset everything and start over. It’s not an easy job. But Stefano has the qualities to succeed in this task."
