Yesterday early afternoon was partially stirred by the news of Fabio Paratici’s presence in Milan (read here). The sporting director was spotted at Palazzo Parigi, which, since his time at Juventus, as Tuttosport recalls this morning, has been one of his headquarters. This has nothing to do directly with the possibility of him being hired by Milan as a sporting director: the meeting with CEO Giorgio Furlani had already taken place earlier.

Paratici in Milan
Fabio Paratici, whose suspension will end in June, is ready to return to the field after his experiences with Juventus and Tottenham (which does not seem inclined to contact him again). The Italian director is the number one candidate on Giorgio Furlani’s list for the vacant sporting director role at Milan next season. In particular, the CEO has already had the chance to meet Paratici during the break and get an idea of his profile. The decision is not imminent, and at the moment, only speculations can be made. One of these concerns the profile of the coach who could arrive in Milan if Paratici were to be hired by the Rossoneri: Antonio Conte and Massimiliano Allegri would be in pole position. But also Roberto De Zerbi, whose agent was met for lunch yesterday by the former Juventus director at Palazzo Parigi.
Two interviews scheduled
As mentioned, however, Furlani’s decision is not imminent. The Milan CEO does not want to make rushed or poorly thought-out choices, convinced of the need to thoroughly evaluate all the profiles on his table. After Paratici, at least two more interviews are scheduled in the coming days, as Tuttosport reiterates. One with Igli Tare, who has been inactive for a couple of years after 15 seasons with Lazio, and the other with Tony D’Amico, currently at Atalanta. Some foreign names have also been highlighted, especially German ones, but at the moment, they appear as secondary candidates compared to the three from the Italian school. Right now, Furlani is taking all the time needed, also to avoid creating excessive speculation around the club, as the team still has a lot at stake in this final stretch of the season.
