AC Milan has decided: the new sporting director will be Fabio Paratici.
This is reported by the Italian outlet SportMediaset. There is still no official announcement, but the countdown has already begun: once the former Juventus executive is operational, he will be tasked with choosing the new coach.

Among the most favored profiles is certainly Roberto De Zerbi, currently at Marseille and with a never-hidden Rossoneri faith: last summer, before moving to France, he had already waited for Milan.
Nothing concrete here yet, but something is starting to move: according to SportMediaset, there are confirmations of an initial contact between Paratici and Edoardo Crnjar, head of the agency that manages De Zerbi's interests. The negotiation will have to be conducted later on, but there has been a first meeting.
However, Paratici's true dream is Pep Guardiola, who is currently tied to City with a contract until June 30, 2027. At the moment, it is unrealistic, but who knows about the future: everything will depend on how well the sporting director manages to bring Milan back to certain levels, as relayed via Milannews.it.
