"Paratici, yes with obstacles. There is an economic agreement, but the issue of the ban must be resolved"
That is the headline published this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport regarding Milan's search for a new sporting director. In recent hours, the club has reached an economic agreement with Fabio Paratici, but it is not yet time for the signing and official announcement: something is still missing regarding clauses and other contract attachments.

Until next July 20, due to his ban, the former Juventus and Tottenham executive will have limited operational capacity, meaning that CEO Giorgio Furlani will be at the forefront, as he has been in recent transfer windows.
Furlani explains what kind of sporting director they are looking for
Interviewed by Mediaset before the Coppa Italia derby, Furlani explained what profile Milan is seeking:
"We haven't had a traditional sporting director in the last two seasons; we have divided the role among various people in the club. Now, what we are evaluating—no decisions have been made yet—is whether to appoint a more traditional sporting director and re-consolidate those roles into one person. There will still be a working group, and we will work together with the sole objective of succeeding on the pitch."
