Today’s edition of La Gazzetta dello Sport headlines this morning:
"Conceição, one hundred days with the Rossoneri."
Having arrived to Milanello at the end of December 2024 to replace the sacked Paulo Fonseca, Sergio Conceição began his adventure at the club in the best possible way by winning the Italian Super Cup. Everything pointed to a bright future for the team, but the season continued with the same difficulties his predecessor had faced. In fact, the numbers show that Conceição is doing worse than Fonseca.

Milan, so many difficulties for Conceição
After the promising start with the Super Cup victory, came failures in the Champions League—eliminated in the playoffs by Feyenoord—and in Serie A, where Milan currently sit ninth, thus out of all European competitions. Only the Coppa Italia remains, with the second leg of the semifinal against Inter scheduled for April 23 (starting from the 1-1 draw in the first leg). But Conceição’s fate is sealed, even if he were to lift a second trophy this season: in the summer, it will be farewell.
