To be able to do good work in the summer, it’s necessary to start working well in advance, especially after a disappointing season, as is the case for both Milan and Juventus.
The Bianconeri, for their part, are still fighting for Champions League qualification for next season, while the Rossoneri seem without hope. However, the battle between two of the biggest names in Italian football continues in the transfer market.
This morning, La Gazzetta dello Sport took stock of Juventus' transfer plans, and two of the three main targets are also being considered by Milan. The third name, meanwhile, remains an open wound in the hearts of Milan fans: Sandro Tonali. He has been valued at 60–70 million euros. Juventus' technical director Cristiano Giuntoli has already started working on it, but the deal is certainly complicated, as relayed via MilanPress.it.
Milan and Juventus with similar targets?
The two shared targets are Pietro Comuzzo and Lorenzo Lucca. Milan have been keeping tabs on the Udinese striker for some time, seriously considering a move for him in January before managing to land Gimenez instead. But just like Milan, Juventus are also keen on Lucca. Comuzzo, on the other hand, is a more recent idea, but one that intrigues both clubs.

Like Milan, Juventus are looking to bolster their squad with more Italian talent, and Comuzzo and Lucca are undoubtedly two valuable assets in the Italian market—valuable, and expensive. La Gazzetta didn’t name a specific price for either, but it’s known that Fiorentina wouldn’t let go of their defender (Comuzzo) for less than €40 million in January. That valuation may decrease in the summer, but likely not below €30–35 million.
A similar figure is expected to be requested by Udinese for their young star. For now, it’s just a wishlist for both Milan and Juventus. We’ll see who—if anyone—makes the first move…
