Il Corriere della Sera headlines this morning:
"Maignan is feeling better and wants to play already against Atalanta. Race against time."
The worst is fortunately behind him; the French goalkeeper is doing well after the head trauma he sustained on Friday in Udine following a violent collision with teammate Alex Jimenez. His head no longer hurts, and for this reason, Mike wants to get back on the pitch right away.

Today, Mike Maignan will resume individual training. To return to group training, however, he will have to wait a few more days, because the protocol regarding head injuries states that a player cannot train with teammates or play official matches for seven days.
A decision on his involvement against Atalanta will be made only at the last moment and, since it is a head trauma, maximum caution will be exercised. However, there is cautious optimism that the Rossoneri goalkeeper could be between the posts Sunday evening at San Siro against coach Gian Piero Gasperini's side.
