Speaking to the microphones of TMW Radio during the program Maracanà, director Paolo De Paola expressed his opinion on the statements made by Antonio Conte in the press conference:
"They knew there were talks with Napoli and most likely they didn't go well. And then I say, when he signed a contract worth 6.5 million plus bonuses, he didn’t know certain things? He can't be discovering them now. The Kvaratskhelia issue was being kept quiet within the Neapolitan environment—there was a problem regarding his possible departure and the lack of an adequate replacement. It's not true that Conte wasn’t complaining—he wasn’t doing it openly, but now he’s come out in the open, confirming what many journalists had written. It’s a thorny issue, it’s a clear sign of a rupture, but how many times has Conte gone back on his steps? I hope this isn’t just a big slap in order to receive guarantees for the future."
De Paola added:
"We’ve seen this kind of behavior at Juve, at Chelsea, but not only there. I wouldn’t be so definitive, but at the same time it’s a strong statement he can’t take back. Either he’ll see a strong change in the transfer market or it will be a break. It’s a very strong step that reopens important scenarios, including the one related to Juventus. The reference to Kvara is provocative—saying it now is a sign of an open wound, and it’s a sign of no return unless things change. Now I expect a response from De Laurentiis. I’m afraid so, because he’s a volcano. Either he speaks himself, or maybe through Manna. The club cannot remain silent."
