The search for a new sporting director continues at Casa Milan. According to Claudio Raimondi in his report for SportMediaset on Italia Uno, Tony D'Amico is ahead of Igli Tare in the preferences of Giorgio Furlani, the Rossoneri CEO who is personally leading the search and will have the final say on the decision.
Tomorrow evening, Milan-Atalanta is scheduled to take place, so the two will certainly cross paths at San Siro. It should be noted that Tony D'Amico is under contract with the Bergamo-based club until 2027.

On April 2nd, before the Milan-Inter Coppa Italia match, Furlani told Mediaset the following regarding the search for a new sporting director:
"First of all, we are not satisfied with the sporting results of this season. Sporting results are at the heart of the club, and we are working towards next season to achieve better outcomes. Within this process, there are various areas and preparations we are undertaking. We haven’t closed or decided anything with anyone yet—I won't comment on roles or individuals—but we are preparing because we want to improve the sporting side. We haven’t had a traditional sporting director over the last two seasons; we split the role among various people within the club. What we’re now considering—though no decisions have been made yet—is appointing a more traditional sporting director and reconsolidating those responsibilities into one person. However, there will still be a working group; the team will work together with the sole objective of achieving success on the pitch."
