The first time is always magical. Olivier Giroud finds his smile again on the occasion of his first goal scored in MLS since his arrival in the American league.
It was a cinematic gem from the French striker and former Milan player – who arrived in the United States last summer on a free transfer – as he converted a free kick from the edge of the box that screamed perfection.

Ball placed on the arc of the box, and his left-footed shot hit the crossbar twice, finally going in on the second bounce: an important goal for Giroud and for his Los Angeles FC, who managed to draw the match against Portland also thanks to the signature delivered by the French center-forward.
Giroud finally finds the net
It is Olivier's first goal in his entire Major League Soccer experience. Before today, the former Milan striker had scored only two goals in the previous 28 matches: one in the final of the US Open Cup, the national cup competition in the United States (he scored the opening goal in the 3-1 win against Sporting Kansas City), and one in the final of the Leagues Cup, the tournament that pits MLS teams against those of Liga MX (the Mexican league). Now, Giroud has unlocked himself in the league and wants to return to being a leader for his team, as pointed out by Calciomercato.com.
