During his usual editorial for TMW, director Niccolò Ceccarini provided an update on AC Milan’s current and future transfer strategies for the upcoming summer window, as the club continues to wait for the appointment of the new sporting director:

On Mike Maignan’s future:
“Now let’s talk about Maignan. A general agreement had been reached with him regarding a contract renewal, but then talks came to a halt. If he were to leave, the first name on the list remains Lucas Chevalier from Lille, who’s had an excellent season. However, in recent weeks Moncada has explored other foreign options."
Ceccarini continued to talk about another possible replacement for Mike Maignan:
"Brighton’s Verbruggen (22-year-old Dutchman) is also highly appreciated. His market value, though, is now significantly higher than the €20 million Brighton paid Anderlecht for him in the summer of 2023. Bayern Munich and Manchester are also interested in him. Another option is Senne Lammens (Belgian and 22-year-old) from Antwerp.”"
