AC Milan's head coach, Sergio Conceicao, spoke to the media in a press conference about several topics in view of the derby in Coppa Italia tomorrow (April 23, 2025).

Here's what he said when asked about if he attempted to "wake" the team up before facing their bitter rivals:
"The week of the match against Atalanta, we trained well — the feelings were positive, similar to before the Udinese game. But when we got to the match, I had to wait until halftime to fix the team. We played against a quality opponent — it was a balanced game."
Conceicao added:
"They had a lot of possession, but didn’t create many chances. In the first 15 minutes after halftime, they didn’t even cross midfield. Then we conceded a goal due to a collective mistake, and the players who came off the bench didn’t really add much to the team. We talked about it. Tomorrow’s match is the most important one — the players are aware of that."
