The search for a new sporting director continues at the Rossoneri’s home. And the hottest name remains that of Igli Tare, who already had in recent days a long face-to-face meeting in Rome with Giorgio Furlani, Milan’s CEO, who for weeks has been personally carrying out the casting for the new executive.

As reported this morning by La Gazzetta dello Sport, the latest development is that there have been new contacts between the two, and a second meeting is on the horizon. At the moment, it is not yet known when, but it will be very soon because while it’s true that the club management wants to reflect carefully before making the final decision on the new sporting director, time is running out and at Casa Milan they will likely make the final decision in the first half of May.
Two scenarios for AC Milan...
With this second meeting, Furlani and Tare will continue the discussions started in the positive face-to-face in Rome, and at this point, there are only two possible scenarios: either they part ways and move on because one of the two parties (or both) is not convinced (in which case the Rossoneri will turn to another candidate), or they shake hands, perhaps schedule one last final meeting, and then finally begin working and planning the new Milan for next season. Time is short, and summer won’t wait.
