Gianluca Di Marzio, appearing in the Sky Sport Italia, spoke as follows about Milan’s upcoming transfer window:
“Much will depend on the budget that the ownership grants to the new sporting director, taking into account the fact that Milan will not have Champions League revenues. Then there are two situations that will affect the Rossoneri’s market, namely the contract renewals of Theo Hernandez and Maignan. Will they extend their contracts or be sold in the summer? Then there is another question mark, which is Leão: will he remain at the centre of Milan’s project for the new sporting director and the new coach?"

Di Marzio added:
“There is also another puzzle that must be resolved concerning Santiago Giménez, who at the moment is the third choice in attack after Jović and Abraham. Is it only a physical issue because he had some problems, or is there something else? He cost €35 million; he cannot be sidelined immediately. Evaluations will need to be made about him as well.”
