In taking stock of Milan's future, La Gazzetta dello Sport highlights how Luka Jovic’s heroic night could also have consequences on his future in the Rossoneri shirt. While waiting to understand whether Gimenez is worth the same investment and whether there will be room for negotiation with Roma for Abraham, Milan could indeed restart from the Serbian, who, as a 'backup' center forward, has scored 13 goals in his two-year spell.

Milan, writes the Rossoneri, has a one-year renewal option (exercisable, summer after summer, until 2028), while the striker would like at least a two-year extension right away. It is not to be ruled out that the club might satisfy him.
These were Conceicao’s words about Jovic after the derby victory:
“He has been working very well in the last 3–4 weeks, he has also lost a few kilos. He gives us something we wanted for the match. He doesn’t give central defenders reference points, and we wanted to have this support. The first goal came precisely from one of his knockdowns. We also have confidence in the others — maybe in another match Abraham will play. It’s up to me to choose based on the characteristics each one has. In Udine, Tammy came on and gave a fantastic response. They all work at their maximum; I’m sorry that sometimes in the league, what we prepare doesn’t show in the match.”
