This morning’s edition of Tuttosport headlines on the front page about Milan:
“Conceiçao makes his case. A double to earn confirmation.”
The Portuguese coach’s fate seems to be sealed, but his hope is that by also winning the Coppa Italia, Milan’s second trophy of the season with him on the bench after the Supercoppa Italiana, the club might actually decide to keep him on. It’s been since the days of Carlo Ancelotti that a Milan coach has won two competitions in the same season.

After the 3-0 Coppa Italia derby win, Conceiçao didn’t want to talk about his future:
“Conceiçao isn’t what matters, what matters is winning against Venezia, and then when the final comes, we’ll be happy to play it. It’s not like we’ve already won it. I’m the same coach I was two days ago—everything’s not suddenly amazing or terrible. You need to find balance, not just as a team, but emotionally too.”
