Luca Bianchin, journalist, expressed himself this way in La Gazzetta dello Sport regarding Sergio Conceição’s attacking choices for Milan’s upcoming matches:
“Santiago Gimenez has thus returned to scoring after more than two months. The last time was... that time: as a former player, against Feyenoord, in the first minute of the second leg of the Champions League playoff. The toughest night of Milan’s season. Next Monday, Milan will go to Genoa for a match that, let’s say, isn’t crucial for the fate of the world. That night, Conceição might choose Jovic to give him some minutes, get him back in shape. It would be the most logical choice."

Bianchin continued to talk about AC Milan's coach, Conceicao:
"However, on May 9, five days before the Coppa Italia final, Milan will play in the league against... Bologna. Two matches in 72 hours against the same opponent. So, Conceição will likely make many changes that day, partly to avoid tiring out the starters for the final, and partly because it wouldn’t be wise to give Italiano the advantage of studying Milan from the San Siro observatory. That day, Abraham and Gimenez will be competing for a spot. If he trains well, if he performs well when coming on against Genoa, Gimenez could once again hear the Serie A anthem at midfield. And if San Siro encourages him instead of murmuring at the third mistake in a row, all the better.”
