"Origi, the Millionaire ghost"
This is today’s the description used by La Gazzetta dello Sport about Divock Origi, a striker whose contract is owned by Milan who has been out of the squad for some time, but who continues to be paid a hefty 4 million euros per season by the club.

The former Liverpool player, who arrived at Milanello on a free transfer in the summer of 2022, has a contract until 2026 and is currently training alone in Florence at the Porta Romana sports center.
At the start of the season, during the press conference presenting the new sporting year, Zlatan Ibrahimović stated:
“Origi and Ballo-Touré will play in Milan Futuro because they are not part of the first-team project.”
While the full-back, now transferred to Le Havre, played a few matches with Milan’s second team in the first part of this season, the Belgian was never seen and, for this reason, was no longer granted access to Milanello to train.
