Former Napoli captain Francesco Montervino spoke about Napoli and more to TMW Radio, during Maracanà.
Milan, who for the bench now?
"Sarri or Ancelotti? For the history the second one has had, I believe there’s no contest. But I think Ancelotti will be the coach of Brazil, that’s what they say."
How do you see Napoli now?
"Conte has taught everyone to have the eyes of the tiger, he has changed the negative mindset from last year. He is a tiger because he struck now with his paw and won’t let himself be caught."
Can Napoli feel Alessandro Buongiorno's absence now?
"There wasn’t good management of the player. In an excess of exuberance he got injured again, but what worries me is Conte’s consideration of those who are on the sidelines. I believe Marin won’t play. When you consider only 13–14 players to be up to par, the locker room suffers. If you end up winning the league, everything ends up being fine, but the group management hasn’t been optimal."
Do you fear Lecce-Napoli?
"I fear it because of the injuries. I don’t think it’s only the fault of the pitches. That said, I fear the match because there might be a change in formation, and when they play 4-3-3, it’s a different team. I hope Conte finds the right balance."
