Il Quotidiano Sportivo headlines this morning:
"Milan on standby: the sporting director (for now) is not arriving."
For weeks now, the Rossoneri club has started casting to find a new sporting director to bring into the organization. It seemed like an urgent matter, but it has turned into a real soap opera. Yesterday, the CEO of Atalanta, Luca Percassi, stated that his future will still be in Bergamo, and for this reason, Igli Tare is now in pole position for the Rossoneri.
Interviewed before Venezia-Milan by DAZN, Milan’s technical director Geoffrey Moncada had this to say about the search for a sporting director:
"We have a structure, we are AC Milan, there are people working. We are thinking about a sporting director to develop the club, to take another step forward. But we already have a structure and an organization that is important."
