Marco Pellegrino gave an interview to the microphones of gianlucadimarzio.com in which he spoke about his desire to return to Milan and stay after the loans to Salernitana, Independiente, and Huracán, where he is currently playing. The Argentine defender, born in 2003, has found consistency and is one of the protagonists of the excellent season of the club, which finished the first phase of the Apertura tournament of the Argentine Primera Division in fourth place and will now take part in the playoffs. Here are his words.

"I feel like a different person compared to two years ago, when I arrived at Milan. Back then, I had only played a handful of matches with the seniors at Platense. Now I have experience: I’m a starter and I play in international competitions. In these eighteen months of loans, I’ve matured a lot. When I arrived at Milan, I took two months of (Italian, ed.) lessons to adapt better. I left on loan in January to prepare myself to come back stronger. And now, yes, I feel ready. Physically and mentally."
On the dressing room and his future, Pellegrino said:
"In the dressing room, I bonded a lot with Musah, who speaks a bit of Spanish from his years in Valencia, and with Reijnders. Tijji is a fantastic guy and a phenomenal player. And then two leaders like Giroud and Kjær helped me. Olivier won a World Cup at 31 and a Champions League at 34. And Simon also won his first Scudetto at 34: they always told me to work in silence and have patience to achieve great results over time. The three loans served exactly for this. In the summer, I would like to return to Milan to stay, even though I know it won’t be easy. I have an excellent relationship with the club and I hope they can win the Coppa Italia. And to the fans, I say: have faith in me — I want to claim Milan as mine."
