Sergio Conceição spoke to Mediaset at the end of the Coppa Italia final lost against Bologna. These were his statements:
A dark night, Milan had actually started well… Then the lights went out. What caused the short circuit?
"I absolutely disagree. The first half was balanced. In the second half, we could have done more, but after Bologna's goal, there was very little play. I don't want to make excuses about the referee. But I won't say it, otherwise they'll say I'm looking for excuses. We had to do more in a match like this. Now we need to finish this league season with dignity and focus on Roma. I feel sorry for the fans and for all those who were enthusiastic about the team. It's a disappointment for everyone, we could have done more, these are games that are decided by details. They scored, we didn't."

Would you make the same lineup choices again?
"In the end, it's easy to judge. Before the match, I did what I had to do, I was honest with myself, with the preparation we had done. Now it's different, we know what didn't work, but that's part of football."
The defenders struggled a lot to build up play. You never managed to break out properly. What do you mean when you talk about disappointment? Conceicao replied:
"Yes, that's true, we had the goalkeeper free but we rushed into playing in a direct way: we had prepared the build-up differently. In the first 25 minutes, we weren't even that bad, but later we could have done more in that aspect. It was a very combative match, every duel had to be played like it could be decisive. I think this is a bit of a reflection of our season. I have to congratulate Bologna because they played a good game in that regard."
Will you still be at Milan next year?
"See you Sunday in Rome."
