Manuele Baiocchini, speaking on Sky Sport Italia, commented as follows on Milan’s situation from a club perspective:
"On the topic of the sporting director, I believe that Milan wants to try to make one last attempt to convince Atalanta to let Tony D'Amico go, who is the real target of the Rossoneri club. Otherwise, evaluations will be made, which is why CEO Furlani has not ruled out that Milan's club structure could remain unchanged."

"As for the coach, one of the profiles that Milan has followed with the most interest during this season is that of Vincenzo Italiano. For two or three months, they have been trying to understand if he could be the right coach for Milan. For now, there have been no direct contacts with him and his entourage; first, Italiano wants to speak with Bologna, to whom he has given his priority. If an agreement to continue together is not found, then at that point, new opportunities could arise, and Milan could be one of them. However, at the moment everything is being held up by the sporting director issue, which is the fundamental step before choosing the replacement for Conceiçao on the Rossoneri bench."
On AC Milan advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic:
"I believe that he was happy with the role he had at Milan, then, when the sporting director matter arose, with Furlani’s trip to Cardinale and the consequent redistribution of roles within the club, he suffered from this situation. Ibra was placed in a different position compared to before. Regarding his future, I expect a desire for redemption from the Swede because leaving Milan after one of the worst seasons in recent years would also be a failure for his image. So, he will start again and remain at Milan, maybe with a different role, even though his voice will continue to carry weight within the Rossoneri club."
