Alessandro Costacurta, former Rossoneri player, made some statements to the microphones of 'Sky Sport' on the sidelines of a padel event, focusing particularly on Milan’s season and drawing a comparison with Atalanta.
Here is an excerpt of his words.

"Inter missed an opportunity last night, I believe there is regret among the fans and the players. We all thought they wouldn’t have a chance, but instead they did, and they didn’t take advantage of it. Now everything is more difficult; watching the games, there are few people betting on Inter with 90 minutes left."
On Inter's Champions League final:
"I’ve been through it, and I believe that when, right from the start, people keep talking about the Champions League, it inevitably becomes the primary objective. In my opinion, it has always been that way for Inter. The Nerazzurri team is currently thinking exclusively about the Champions League."
On Milan’s crisis:
"I also once finished ninth and once tenth, it was very unpleasant, but it can happen. I believe Milan’s directors and players made an effort this year, and this is exactly what worries me the most. In January, Milan invested well and signed important players, yet the results didn’t come. Becoming competitive again like this becomes difficult. The choice of the sporting director will be the most important one; the Rossoneri club needs a football figure."
On which coach he would like to see at Milan:
"I’d like to see a Milan that goes to press the opponent in their half, both at home and away. I’m thinking of Atalanta (he smiles). This year, many things were missing from the Rossoneri, attitude above all."
