Igli Tare is closer and closer to AC Milan.
The Albanian director has a lot to work on with not enough time to settle in his new office once all contracts are signed. He will have to deal with the contract renewals of the team’s veterans (Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan above all), and leading up to the delicate decision regarding Milan’s new coach.

The first meetings between the ex Lazio man and Giorgio Furlani strongly suggest the name of Vincenzo Italiano for the Rossoneri bench, fresh winner of the Coppa Italia, precisely at the expense of Conceicao's Rossoneri team, who will not conclude his Milan adventure in the best way (he won’t be on the bench against Monza due to suspension).
Bologna obstacle
All roads would therefore lead to Vincenzo Italiano, writes Milannews.it, even though along the way Milan will come up against Bologna and the desire of the Rossoblù club to retain their coach. Around the Dall’Ara, there is strong confidence that with the former Fiorentina boss on the bench, they can give continuity to the technical project begun last summer, and that is why Giovanni Sartori and Claudio Fenucci have already presented Vincenzo Italiano with a renewal proposal (extension until 2027 with a salary increase), which the coach is currently evaluating.
There is no shortage of alternatives
Snatching Vincenzo Italiano away from Bologna will not be easy at all, which is why Igli Tare’s list would be rich with names that could suit Milan. Among them would also be that of Maurizio Sarri, but the not-so-idyllic relationship with the executive during their time at Lazio and a previous rejection due to a proposal deemed too uncertain seem to have definitively and prematurely cooled his candidacy.
