Interviewed by SportMediaset, Alessandro Nesta, former Rossoneri player and current coach of Monza, stated ahead of Saturday’s match against Milan:
"I will ask to play a good game. We have been relegated but we care about finishing well. We are going to San Siro against a great opponent. Hopefully, we will make a good impression."
About Milan:
"Will there be protests? It’s a pity for Milan’s moment. It’s a pity because I felt so good at Rossoneri, Milan will always remain in my heart, it gave me the chance to win what I won. I will always be grateful to Milan. I’m sorry about the protest, I hope this situation lasts shortly and that they solve everything."
About Monza's relegation, Nesta said:
"That’s how it went, at the end of the season I will reflect on what I did well and what not."
About the future:
"Future? No meetings scheduled with the club for now."
About the season:
"What marked me? At Milan I lost that final in Istanbul, but then there was Athens. That taught me a lot. When you are hurt you have to react. Things can go wrong but then you have to start again."
