As was predictable—although perhaps not to this extent—the coaching market is monopolizing the first week of the Serie A offseason. Virtually every club has to deal with its own bench, whether it be through renewals, farewells, or new appointments. Among these teams is Milan, which will most likely part ways with Sergio Conceição and has begun the search for a new manager capable of bringing the team back to the top of the league after a disastrous season like this past one.

The names mentioned in recent days, in terms of the Rossoneri, are numerous: from the leading candidate Italiano, to the intriguing idea of an Allegri return. Il Corriere dello Sport today focuses on two profiles that can be considered outsiders.
The newspaper writes this morning:
“Milan at a crossroads, Thiago-Mancio for the relaunch.”
The source adds: "After the season marked by Fonseca and Conceição, the Rossoneri club is grappling with the decision regarding its next head coach.”
The subheadline continues the thought: “Sporting director Tare is evaluating the two coaches (Thiago Motta and Roberto Mancini). Furlani’s approval will also be needed for the choice. The first official contacts are about to begin.”
