Massimiliano Allegri, in his recent contacts that (re)brought him to Milan—especially with Igli Tare, the new Rossoneri sporting director—received assurances regarding the transfer market, on which he will have a say both in terms of arrivals and departures.

One of the key players in the squad is Rafael Leao, and it's precisely with him that Max Allegri would like to start again: a player he has praised in the past, during his time as Juventus coach, for his qualities. His, as well as those of Theo Hernandez, another player whose future is still uncertain.
Today, Tuttosport highlights the Portuguese player as the man at the heart of Milan’s new era under Allegri:
“The Allegri return begins with Leao.”
The subheading adds:
“The coach also appreciates Theo, although his relationship with the club is strained.”
In the meantime, there’s also the question of what will happen with Tijjani Reijnders and whether Allegri has received reassurances on that front: “City are increasing the pressure—Guardiola wants him already for the Club World Cup, but Milan will only sell for €75 million.”
