Theo Hernandez's adventure with AC Milan, which began in the summer of 2019, is coming to an end. The decision from the Rossoneri club was made after a recent meeting at the club's headquarters between the Rossoneri executives and his agent, Quillon: the gap between offer and demand is too wide, and reaching an agreement now seems nearly impossible.

Theo's renewal with Milan seems unlikely
This morning’s edition of Corriere della Sera reports that the Rossoneri club offered a renewal deal worth 4 million euros (he currently earns €4.5 million), while Theo and his camp asked for nearly €8 million in salary to extend the contract, which expires in 2026. A summer transfer for Theo—who is coming off a disappointing season, also marked by some behaviors that displeased the club's leadership—now seems inevitable.
Who will replace Theo Hernandez at AC Milan?
The Rossoneri club will need to find a replacement for the Frenchman. The most frequently mentioned names are three in particular: Destiny Udogie, the Italian full-back who just won the Europa League with Tottenham; Junior Firpo, currently with Leeds and formerly of Barcelona and Real Betis; and Maxim De Cuyper, the breakout full-back from Club Brugge, whom Milan have been following with strong interest for some time.
