AC Milan, with the work of Igli Tare and Massimiliano Allegri, is already very active in the transfer market. On the outgoing front, the transfer of Tijjani Reijnders to Manchester City is close to being finalized for €65 million plus bonuses, with Luka Modric likely to be brought in as his replacement. In recent hours, Juventus has exercised the buy option for Pierre Kalulu, bringing an additional €14 million into Milan’s coffers.

The next steps could still involve further departures, with the situations of Theo Hernandez and Mike Maignan being closely monitored. As for the left-back, the possibility of a contract renewal is now considered completely off the table. Negotiations in that regard have been halted. On the table remains Al Hilal’s €35 million offer, which Milan has already accepted, but the player himself is not convinced and has offered himself to Atletico Madrid, who have not matched the Arab club’s bid. The new Saudi coach, Simone Inzaghi, will attempt to convince him, but the matter risks dragging on.
The situation is different for Maignan: last February, everything was in place for a contract renewal, but Milan halted talks, partly due to the Frenchman’s underwhelming performances, and now seems inclined to sell. Allegri would like to keep him, but he could be allowed to leave if an offer of €30 million arrives. So far, no club has reached that amount, although Chelsea has indicated they could go up to €20 million. The two clubs' managements are expected to be in contact again in the coming hours.
