The market never sleeps. During the night, Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel published a video with updates on yesterday’s events, in which Romano and his colleague Matteo Moretto also spoke about the developments in negotiations involving the Rossoneri. Specifically, Moretto highlighted Milan’s interest in a striker and an additional experienced midfielder, besides Modric.
On the striker:
“Milan is looking for a striker for next year, a name that has come up in recent hours and is one of Massimiliano Allegri’s favorites, even though there are currently no negotiations for this type of player. It’s true that in Allegri’s vision for Milan, Dusan Vlahovic would be part of it: he’s under contract with Juventus until 2026 and, of course, his salary could be a very significant and important obstacle. But it should be noted that Milan is looking for a striker and Vlahovic is an idea to keep an eye on.”
On the midfielder:
“Milan is looking for another experienced profile besides Modric—a leader—to add to the midfield in order to increase personality and stature. One of the names being considered is Granit Xhaka, who could leave Leverkusen: the player is seeking a different experience and Milan has added him to their list.”
