A particular start to the transfer window for Milan, with several important players ending up in the sights of top European clubs. Reijnders is now to be considered, pending medical examinations, a new Manchester City player, while Maignan is clearly attracted by the possibility of playing in the Premier League with Chelsea: it remains to be seen how the French goalkeeper’s situation will evolve, with Allegri wanting to keep him.
Milan’s new coach is also strongly focused on Rafael Leao and has already communicated this both to the player and to the club. According to MilanNews.it, there is strong interest from Bayern Munich in the Portuguese forward, who will play in the Nations League final against Spain: the German champions want to refresh their options on the wings and have set their sights on Milan’s number 10.
Milan values Leao very highly, close to the €175 million release clause: at the club headquarters, they would only consider offers starting at around €130 million. Bayern, who did not reach such figures even for Florian Wirtz—now a promised signing for Liverpool—are putting forward a significant proposal of €70–75 million plus the card of one player among Kim (central defender), Coman (winger), or Goretzka (midfielder).
While waiting to understand what Milan will decide to do, and also to see the intentions of the three potential counterparts, both Tare and Allegri have reiterated, even in recent hours, Leao’s central role in their project.
