During the usual update video on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, Matteo Moretto provided an update on the situation at Milan, focusing in particular on the goalkeeper issue:
"The one certain thing is that Milan has secured Vanja Milinkovic-Savic from Torino. They’ve secured him because the relationship between Vanja’s agent and Tare is excellent. The fact that he has a €20 million release clause makes the deal much simpler compared to, for example, a potential deal with Roma for Svilar—who, by the way, is also of strong interest to Bournemouth, where Tiago Pinto works."
Moretto continued to talk about Milan's position in the goalkeepers' market:
"So Milan has secured Vanja Milinkovic-Savic because, from a technical standpoint, he’s still an interesting profile. Economically, he’s accessible, and in terms of the relationships between the parties, he’s perhaps in the best position compared to others. However, it remains to be seen whether Milan will actually move forward decisively for Vanja or not. For now, the Rossoneri club has secured him and will decide in the coming days—obviously depending on Chelsea’s offer (for Maignan) and also any potential negotiations for other goalkeepers—whether to push forward for Vanja or not."
