A bit like the last two summers, Alexis Saelemaekers will once again be a key figure in AC Milan's transfer market. The Belgian winger has returned from his loan at Roma, who so far haven’t reached an agreement with Milan to bring him back to the Giallorossi—and haven’t made much of an effort to do so either.

This is partly because Massimiliano Allegri has stepped in. The coach appreciates Saelemaekers' versatility, which allows him to be used in various positions on the pitch.
According to MilanNews.it, there is also interest from some foreign clubs, who have already submitted inquiries for Saelemaekers. However, Allegri has asked the club to keep the player, at least for the pre-season training camp, where the former Anderlecht man will be evaluated closely by the ex Juventus boss to see if he deserves another shot at Milan after two solid years with Bologna and Roma. The final decision will be made together with the player.
