Luca Bianchin, journalist, expressed himself this way in La Gazzetta dello Sport while recounting the contact between Milan and Strasbourg for Guela Doué:
"Guéla Doué moved last summer from Rennes to Strasbourg for 6.5 million plus bonuses. His little brother, instead, went to PSG and was simply the best player on the pitch in the Champions League final. Over these months, Guéla has grown, he became a starter, and contributed to Strasbourg finishing seventh. He has the characteristics of the profiles Milan has chosen in recent years: he's 22 years old, has great physical and athletic qualities, is very quick, and has room to grow. His character is not in question: perfect attitude. He needs to improve technically and offensively, because right now he’s better without the ball: he also played on the right-center in a back three."
Bianchin continued to talk about Guéla Doué:
"Obviously, moving to Milan would be a step up: he wouldn’t play in European competitions but would be at a big club. And he knows San Siro, where he played with Rennes in the 2023–24 Europa League. Pioli’s Milan won 3–0 at home, but suffered in the return leg in Rennes, solving the game with a moment of brilliance from Leão. Doué would meet Rafa again in training: a right-back against a left-winger. Better in training than in a match."
