23 days remain until the start of the 2025/2026 season for the new Milan led by Massimiliano Allegri. After the disappointments of last year, the Rossoneri are called to a significant show of pride, also because further missteps will not be tolerated—especially considering they will be playing only once a week.
Milan must accelerate in the transfer market
As of June 14, Milan has not yet completed any incoming transfers. Of course, it is fair to remember that “Rome wasn’t built in a day,” but at the same time, the activity of their rivals—Napoli above all—almost pushes the Rossoneri to speed up. Fortunately, the Tare-Allegri duo seems to have rather clear ideas, but so far none of those have materialized, beginning to draw some frowns from fans who are expecting some new faces between now and July 7.
Luka Modric should be one of them, but Milan cannot settle (only) for the Croatian, especially in such a crucial department as the midfield, which saw Tijjani Reijnders leave for Manchester City. Granit Xhaka is a more than concrete idea (READ HERE), as is the young Club Brugge player Jashari, but the focus is obviously not limited to the midfield, since several additions will be needed to reinforce Max Allegri’s squad.
So, ideas are not lacking. On the fourth floor of Casa Milan, they are discussing international profiles, young talents with potential, but also already established names. But now it’s time to move to action—also to send a clear message to the competition. Otherwise, the risk is to arrive at the preseason training camp with an incomplete squad, forcing Allegri to work with a provisional group, which is of little use when it comes to preparation and tactical integration.
The transfer market, as we know, is played out also—and perhaps above all—on timing, and in a Serie A that promises to be more competitive than ever, every week of delay can prove decisive. The fans are waiting for signals—not just promises. The Tare-Allegri era can begin, but only if accompanied by bold decisions and clear investments, especially because time is running out and Milan can no longer wait.
