Matteo Moretto, speaking on Fabrizio Romano’s YouTube channel, provided these updates on Milan’s transfer market:

On Granit Xhaka:
"Last week I told you that Milan had contacted Bayer Leverkusen to understand the costs of the operation. Milan has always considered the Swiss midfielder a top target because Allegri’s idea was to first bring leadership and experience into the team and then focus on young players. Milan has realized that the costs aren’t what they expected: Tare thought he could close the deal for Xhaka for under 10 million euros, while the Germans are asking for 15–18 million. The gap, as of now, is significant. At Via Aldo Rossi they are now internally evaluating whether it’s worth it or not. I’d say the deal is currently on standby."
On Ardon Jashari, who is closely followed by AC Milan as well:
"Milan has been following Jashari for months. Juventus was also interested in him, but as I told you, Milan also tracked him closely during the season. In recent hours, the Rossoneri have made their first official offer to Club Brugge: 25 million euros fixed plus 5 million in bonuses. The Belgians are asking for 35 plus bonuses, so the gap is wide. Jashari is also liked by other European clubs, so the competition is strong."
On Samuele Ricci:
"Ricci remains one of Milan’s midfield targets. If they wanted to close the deal for Ricci, Milan could do it in 10 minutes. They’ve put him on standby for a few weeks, but we expect new contacts in the coming hours. So let’s keep the Ricci trail alive for the Rossoneri."
On AC Milan's Francesco Camarda:
"Camarda to Lecce is almost done. It’s not finalized yet because the two clubs are still discussing the terms of the transfer."
