Massimiliano Allegri is AC Milan’s new Head Coach for the coming seasons. Allegri, who comes back to Milan after 11 years, will guide the Rossoneri until 2027. His national and international experience, especially after many years leading Juventus, a period during which he won several times Serie A, Coppa Italia and Supercoppa Italiana, will be crucial for AC Milan. Indeed, Rossoneri’s primary goals for the upcoming season are crystal clear: return to the UEFA Champions League and try to compete for the Serie A title. Under Massimiliano Allegri, Milan are crafting a project aimed at reviving a team which comes from a season which is clearly a failure.

Come back to the UCL: AC Milan's targetfor the 2025/26 season:

One of the main targets for the next season will surely be the return to compete in the UEFA Champions League. AC Milan, who won the tournament for 7 times, comes from a disappointing season, getting an 8th place in the Serie A and no UEFA competition to compete for in the coming season. So, Allegri’s first and foremost objective is to secure a top-four finish, thereby returning AC Milan to the UEFA Champions League. European football is essential not only for the club’s prestige but also for financial sustainability and player recruitment. With Allegri’s return, Milan have the kind of leadership capable of navigating this delicate rebuild. The upcoming season will test Allegri’s ability to extract maximum performance with a new, reshaped squad, one emphatically geared toward reinstating Milan among Italy’s elite and making strides in Europe.

With the guidance of Massimiliano Allegri, a coach accustomed to winning and great feats, for Milan the goal of getting back into the top four seems to be within reach. On the other hand, the fight to win the championship seems more complicated, with teams like Napoli and Inter appearing to be better equipped, but also committed on the Champions League front unlike the Rossoneri. Considering these details, betting on Milan as champions of Italy doesn't seem to be too far-fetched, and for those who believe that this is more than a dream and are ready to bet on it, they can do so by taking advantage of the bonuses that gaming platforms make available and collected in a list offered by Oddschecker, one of the most important comparators in the iGaming sector. Those who see value in Milan’s potential resurgence can find competitive odds and promotions across those various platforms.

Allegri's tactical identity - Pragmatism, balance, and structure:

Allegri has been tasked with bringing tactical discipline, mental strength and consistency. Indeed, his style of play is well known: pragmatic, balanced, and centered on defensive organization. Unlike some of his predecessors at Milan, Allegri prioritizes tactical structure over flair. His likely approach will involve a flexible 4-3-3 or 4-2-3-1 system with solid midfield protection, dependable full-backs, and a striker capable of leading the line effectively. A hallmark of Allegri’s past success has been his ability to adapt his tactics to the players at his disposal and getting the best from the players he has.

Milan’s current squad presents a mix of experienced internationals and promising young talents. The manager has emphasized the need to reinforce each department of the squad during the transfer window to implement his game plan effectively.

Among Allegri’s immediate goals there’s also to instill a winning mentality into the team. Last season exposed a lack of leadership on the pitch, especially in critical moments. Allegri also brings with him a reputation for man-management, a crucial quality given Milan’s relatively young squad.

The new Allegri‑led Milan is forging a lean, purposeful rebuild: selling big (Reijnders to City and maybe Theo Hernandez to Al-Hilal) to reinvest smart, prioritizing key areas and reinforcing team unity with both experienced heads and promising youth; a strategy which will be possible also with the appointment of the new Sport Director Igli Tare. The mission is clear: return to the Champions League and challenge for the Scudetto. Whether this calculated strategy bears fruit will be revealed as the season unfolds.
