Luca Bianchin, a journalist, wrote the following in La Gazzetta dello Sport, introducing Igli Tare’s words during Tuesday’s press meeting:
"Igli Tare is a center-forward, you can tell. Physically strong, grounded, with his feet firmly planted in history. He grew up in Albania supporting the great Milan, and when he talks about the team he has in mind, he constantly references the club’s values—that’s where he wants to start from. He played with Baggio and Guardiola, and he knows that champions in a dressing room make the difference: that’s why his first move as sporting director was to go after Luka Modric, a Ballon d’Or winner."
Tare speaks to journalists in his first informal appearance as a Rossoneri executive and makes it clear he feels the responsibility of being at Milan. He thanks 'the entire club for the warm welcome' and says: 'The glorious history of Milan gives me a huge responsibility—to give my all and help bring the club back where it belongs, at the top of Italian and European football'."
Bianchin continued to talk about Igli Tare:
"The Milan he envisions is hinted at between the lines: a Milan with Maignan and an almost entirely new defense, without Theo and possibly with Leoni as a promising central defender. A rebuilt midfield, full of quality, blending ball control and intensity. An attack that starts again from Leao and a new No. 9—who, at the moment, won’t be Vlahovic or Kean, as both are far from the technical and financial profile of the striker Milan is looking for on the market."
