AC Milan is already going at "Max" speed, but in fact, only by going faster than their rivals can they ultimately cross the finish line first. The chase began as early as the end of May, when—after a disappointing eighth-place finish in the standings—first sporting director Igli Tare was introduced, followed by Massimiliano Allegri as the new head coach, getting ahead of the competition thanks to a swift move in Switzerland, specifically in Lugano.

Now it’s up to Max to repeat the plan, writes La Gazzetta dello Sport this morning. The 57-year-old coach will return to the pitch with his new players next Monday, July 7, anticipating the original schedule, which had the players returning from vacation around the 10th or 11th. There's no time to waste—that's the essence of it—with Allegri not granting any extra rest days even to those who were on international duty. For the first day of the training camp, everyone must be present at Milanello, with the exception of Gimenez and Luka Modric, especially since everything is aimed at a lightning-fast start.
Allegri has laid down his rules
Double training sessions, preferably during cooler hours, and Milanello becomes the true home for players and staff starting from the first Monday of July until the departure for the tour in Asia—though not mandatory. Breakfast is mandatory at the training center, and the first session begins at 9:30 AM CET. The second session is at 6 PM CET, followed by a mandatory dinner. In short, Allegri’s new Milan will restart from Milanello, organizing its time in the best possible way—helpful not only for the Rossoneri coach to leave his mark on a team that will have the chance to work for a full week during the season, but also to make important evaluations that other teams, such as those participating in the Club World Cup, will inevitably have to rush through over the summer.
