Dodô could leave Fiorentina during the summer transfer window.
The right-back-back, who is under contract with the Viola until 2027, had asked the club for a contract renewal offer last October but only received one during the winter, which has hardened his stance ahead of the 2025/26 season.
On their part, Fiorentina indicates that they made an offer considered fair by the management and that they hadn’t done so earlier because Dodô’s contract expires in 2027, not 2026, meaning he wasn’t a priority, as pointed out by Calciomercato.com.
Sporting director Daniele Pradè remained calm about the matter before Palladino’s resignation, which shook the Viola world—but not the Dodô situation. As things stand, the Brazilian wants a change of scenery and is looking to use the opportunity to boost his visibility in the eyes of Brazil’s head coach Carlo Ancelotti in the lead-up to the World Cup.
Interest has come from Hansi Flick’s Barcelona and Allegri’s Milan, but so far, there have been no concrete moves. In the meantime, Inter has signed fellow Brazilian Luis Henrique, while Juventus is pursuing another Brazilian, Wesley.
26-year-old Dodô is therefore expected to report to pre-season training under Stefano Pioli, who will attempt to mend the situation and move forward even without a renewal—pushing the issue down the line by less than a year in the worst-case scenario.
