The time has come for Luka Jovic to say goodbye. The Serbian striker, formerly of Real Madrid and Fiorentina, who last season knocked out Inter with a brace in the Coppa Italia semi-final, is leaving Milan on a free after two seasons.
Like with other players departing Milan as of June 30, 2025, the Rossoneri club bid farewell to the number 9 with a post on Instagram. Jovic's contract included the option to trigger an additional year, but Milan decided not to activate the clause: it’s the end of the road.
Here's what the AC Milan club's message reads:
"Thank you, Luka! We wish you all the best for the next stage of your career."
