The deal had already been sealed a few days ago, but now it’s official: Samuele Ricci is a new AC Milan player. The Italian midfielder, signed from Torino for €22 million plus €3 million in bonuses, spent his first day as a Rossonero yesterday—starting with medical tests in the morning, followed by the signing of his new contract at Casa Milan in the afternoon. The deal ties him to the club until June 30, 2029, with an option for an additional year.
Ricci a Rossonero...
Following the official announcement, Ricci also delivered his first words as a Milan player through the club’s official channels: “Hi Rossoneri fans, I’m super excited for this new adventure and I can’t wait to see you at San Siro. I’m feeling a lot of emotions—I’ve never been as nervous as I’ve been these past few days. I’ll do my best to repay Milan’s trust. Sending you all a hug and greeting—Forza Milan!” He is therefore the first official signing of the new Milan under Massimiliano Allegri, with the team set to regroup Monday at Milanello—where Ricci will, of course, be present. He also had his first in-person meeting with the new head coach yesterday at club headquarters.
Jashari...
As reported this morning by Tuttosport, Milan does not plan to stop there and hopes to soon close another midfield deal: Ardon Jashari. The directors are waiting for a response from Club Brugge regarding Milan’s latest offer: €32 million plus bonuses, which would bring the total deal close to €37 million, depending on the difficulty of the conditions. Milan is convinced they’ve pushed as far as they can and have no plans to increase their bid. The Swiss midfielder is eager to join Milan and hopes Club Brugge will grant his wish—possibly even today.
