Luca Bianchin, Italian journalist, revealed the following to La Gazzetta dello Sport about Alexis Saelemaekers’ situation:
"In recent hours, Alexis Saelemaekers has undergone a genetic mutation: he's once again a Milan player. Last August, Alexis had been 'loaned until June 30, 2025' to Roma — and here we are. He’s back to stay, as Max Allegri reportedly told some Roma fans he met in Sardinia: 'He’s staying with me at Milan.'
What remains to be seen is in what role will Saelemaekers have. Two key questions arise: starter or backup? Full-back or attacking winger?
"Alexis is flexible and will continue to be. He speaks Flemish, English, French, and Italian, and has had friends in all three Italian dressing rooms he’s been in. 'I’m a Milan player and I’ve always enjoyed playing for the Rossoneri,' he said. 'The important thing is to find a project where I can grow and where I can play. We’ll find out soon enough'."
