The saga surrounding Ardon Jashari’s future adds another chapter: after skipping the short training camp between Glasgow and London, the Swiss midfielder will also not take part in today’s 6 PM CEST friendly match between his Club Brugge side and Poland’s Rakow Czestochowa. Whether this is a positive sign for Milan — who have placed him at the top of their midfield target list — remains to be seen in the coming hours and days.

Jashari continues to hope he can join Milan...
As reported by Gazzetta.it, the Swiss player hopes that the negotiations between the Belgian club and the Rossoneri — which have been dragging on for quite some time — can finally be unlocked this weekend. Milan, following yet another “no” from Club Brugge, have no intention of making a new bid and will not raise their current offer of €32 million plus bonuses. The Club Brugge management, however, remain firmly opposed and continue to insist they do not want to sell Jashari, who has been pushing for weeks to secure his move to Milanello.
Will the long-awaited breakthrough finally come for both the player and Milan?
It's hard to say for now, as the tug-of-war between the two clubs continues. In the meantime, the Swiss midfielder is due to resume training with Club Brugge on Monday, though his hope is that something positive will happen in the negotiations with the Rossoneri by Saturday or Sunday. Interestingly, the Belgian club's executives are currently in Milan to negotiate with Inter over Aleksandar Stankovic — who, coincidentally, appears to have been identified as Jashari’s potential replacement.
