Luca Bianchin, journalist, spoke as follows during La Tripletta, the podcast by La Gazzetta dello Sport, about Milan’s midfield:
“For Allegri, there is an intense, energetic mezzala (central midfielder), so Fofana or Loftus-Cheek, then Modric and theoretically Jashari. Is Ricci left out? There will be rotation, but with one match per week, there might be little playing time. For me, Ricci could play ten years at Milan, because of his mentality. Modric will play one season, maybe another.”
Ardon Jashari's transfer situation
Given how things had developed in recent days, it almost seemed inevitable that Jashari and Club Bruges would clash. The player, who continues to want only and exclusively Milan, has however decided to take a step back in an effort—on his part—to facilitate negotiations. The Swiss midfielder has in fact chosen to change strategy, adopting a lower profile by agreeing to participate in training with Club Bruges, which today reconvened at its training center to officially begin the season.
Nonetheless, Jashari’s desire has not changed. For this reason, Milan continues to work hard on this track, but quietly, convinced that as time goes on, the situation could finally unlock once and for all. The feeling is that just a small step forward would be enough to unblock everything—also because the door opening onto Milan, in the end, has never really been closed. And now, more than ever, all that’s needed is the key.
