Before the start of the press conference introducing Stefano Pioli as the new head coach of Fiorentina, the club’s general director, Alessandro Ferrari, gave a brief introduction in which he also confirmed the departure of Pietro Terracciano:
“We’re starting this new year. Before introducing Stefano Pioli, I want to take a moment — also on behalf of the Commisso family — to say goodbye and thank an exceptional guy like Pietro Terracciano. Today we welcome the new coach, someone I know well and you all know too. It was wonderful to hear from him his desire and enthusiasm to come here. We never had any doubts about this situation — in fact, we’ve always been convinced about the choice, and so has the coach. Today is his day,” reported FirenzeViola.it.
Pietro Terracciano’s future lies with Milan, where he will replace Marco Sportiello, who is returning to Atalanta. The player is expected this afternoon at the Rossoneri headquarters on Via Aldo Rossi to sign a two-year contract that will tie him to the club until June 30, 2027.
