Will Malick Thiaw stay at Milan?
The German defender’s future remains uncertain. Since the beginning of the transfer window, there have been reports of interest from Bundesliga and Premier League clubs. However, no concrete offers have arrived at Casa Milan so far. Moreover, it's well known that Thiaw has turned down strong advances from Cesc Fabregas' Como and from Crystal Palace.

A departure for Thiaw would shake up Milan's transfer market strategy, particularly in the central defense. Should he leave, a new signing would be necessary to fill the gap. In that regard, the preferred option for Tare—and especially for Allegri—is Giovanni Leoni, a talented Italian defender born in 2006. However, Parma are proving to be tough negotiators, reportedly demanding €40 million for their gem, as relayed via PianetaMilan.it.
Given the difficulties in securing that target, Milan are not ruling out the possibility of standing pat in the center-back market. As it stands, Allegri has four central defenders at his disposal: Tomori, Pavlovic, Gabbia, and Thiaw himself.
In recent weeks, the former Schalke 04 defender has begun preseason training with the squad ahead of the new season. He is currently in Singapore, where Milan have just landed for the first leg of their Asia-Pacific tour. In two days, the Rossoneri will face Arsenal. Will Thiaw be on the pitch? Whether he starts or comes off the bench could offer insight into his chances of carving out a key role this season.
According to transfer market expert Nicolò Schira, Thiaw is determined to convince Milan to keep him, confident in his ability to earn his place.
