Massimiliano Allegri, head coach of AC Milan, spoke at a press conference following the friendly match against Arsenal, which the Rossoneri lost 0-1. His statements were reported by Gazzetta.it via their correspondent Andrea Ramazzotti.
On the match:
"It was a good training session against one of the strongest teams in Europe. I'm happy with what I saw even though we're only 15 days into our preseason preparations: we’ll have time to learn and improve."

On the change of formation:
"The change of formation? I saw a good willingness to work from the players, and we raised the level of sacrifice in the non-possession phase. Despite this, in open play we had some chances that we could have taken better advantage of. There's definitely room for improvement, but I'm pleased with what we did."
On Pervis Estupiñán:
"He's an important player, but Bartesaghi also put in a good performance today against a champion of Saka’s caliber."
On Rafael Leao as a striker, Allegri said:
"He had an excellent performance, like all the other players. I'm satisfied with him. When we lose, even if it’s just a friendly, I’m never entirely happy, but now it's important to prepare well for the rest of the season. And we have to consider that we were up against one of the strongest teams in Europe. For sixty minutes, we played on equal footing with them. That’s no small thing."
