Intense situation between Jashari and Club Brugge over Milan transfer

The Ardon Jashari saga might be surpassing that of the summer of 2022 involving Charles De Ketelaere, which also featured the same main actors on the field: on one side, Milan as the buyer, and on the other, Club Brugge as the stubborn seller. History is repeating itself — and this time, it’s even more intense, because the attacking midfielder now at Atalanta never reached the breaking point that the Swiss midfielder has now reached with his club.

Tug of war

La Gazzetta dello Sport reports the latest updates on the situation, although in essence, nothing has changed: Club Brugge continues to say no. Last night, according to La Gazzetta, the player’s agent, Krasniqi, met with the Belgian club and reiterated his client’s desire to join Milan. The response from the Brugge management — also echoed by sporting director Rigaux, who is on vacation with his family — was the same as always: Jashari will not leave unless the offer reaches €40 million. The objective of coach Hayen’s team is to record the highest sale in the club’s history, and for now, Milan’s management has no intention of moving away from its offer of €32.5 million plus bonuses. This is why everything remains stuck in a prolonged limbo.

Jashari at a crossroads:

Voted Player of the Season by both the club and the Belgian Pro League, Ardon Jashari made up his mind the moment he learned of Milan’s interest: he wants to wear the Rossoneri shirt and has no interest in listening to other offers — even though some have arrived. Since then, the Swiss midfielder has spent the entire preseason training on his own, even skipping the Belgian Super Cup, which Brugge won last Sunday. He rejoined the group only yesterday, and only for 15 minutes, doing a reactivation session in the gym. Now, Jashari finds himself at a crossroads: either resume full training, with the league starting this Sunday and Champions League qualifiers approaching — or widen the rift with the club by continuing to train alone until a clear decision is made regarding the transfer, one way or the other.
